EnerCon Solutions, an affiliate of E3 International (E3I), presented jointly with its client Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) at the Children’s Hospital Association’s (CHA)  2012 International Facilities Design & Capacity Conference in Chicago on December 3, 2012.  The  featured topic, selected for inclusion on a competitive basis, was “Greening the Hospital for  Financial, Operational, and Health Benefits.”  The presentation highlights the success of the ongoing EnerCon Solutions/CNMC collaboration—jointly developing and implementing a strategic energy plan which has, after its initial project implementation  phase, rapidly and dramatically reduced energy costs at Children’s National–winning the praise of CEO Kurt Newman and creating savings to be directed toward investment in world class care for children.

The Conference presentation also identifies follow on innovative and cost effective energy and water management projects as part of next implementation phases of the strategic energy management plan (for the hospital campus and its remote affiliates) and the broader sustainability initiative of Children’s National.
