E3I implementing smart grid project in Romania

E3 International was awarded a grant from US Trade & Development Agency to evaluate the technical, economic and financial feasibility of implementing a smart micro grid pilot project at the campus of the University Politehnica of Bucharest.  The Study will evaluate opportunities for expanding the existing generation capacity at the University, implementing tri-generation (combined cooling, heat and power) approaches, diversifying energy supply resources (including renewables such as rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind), adding thermal and electric power storage systems and maximizing the use of smart building technologies.
